Standard Chartered Agrees To Acquire GE Commercial Financing, Singapore – Update
Standard Chartered plc (STAN.L) said Monday that its subsidiary Standard Chartered Bank entered an agreement to acquire GE Commercial Financing (Singapore) Ltd., a unit of General Electric Co. (GE). The transaction is expected to be completed by month end.
FT: Banco Santander Eyes Acquisitions In Colombia, Peru – Update
Banco Santander S.A. (BNC.L, STD) is on the lookout for acquisitions across Latin America, particularly in Colombia and Peru, the Financial Times reported Sunday. The Spanish bank has stepped up its expansion in the Latin American region to offset weakness at home and in other troubled markets across Europe and in the U.S.
