Friday, the European Medicines Agency announced that the rosiglitazone-containing anti-diabetes medicines – Avandia, Avandamet and Avaglim, marketed by GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK) (GSK.L) are being reviewed to determine the safety of the drugs, following new studies questioning their cardiovascular safety.
